The fourth annual Barbados Music Awards, set for January 4th 2009 at 7PM at the newly renamed Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre in Barbados, will be seen globally on the World Wide Web live.
The event, which boasts a stellar lineup including Grammy and Academy Award winner Regina Belle, a reunited Square One, Malaysian pop sensation Che’Nelle, gospel songstress Mya Daniel, Epic recording artiste Casely (USA), Barbados’ reigning Soca Monarch Khiomal Nurse and Calypso Monarch Adrian Clarke among others, will this year be viewed globally by millions, as it is broadcast live on www.yourwatchingtv.com.
“The latest technology will be utilized for this web cast, using the Windows Media Platform. This type of technology is the future for artistes to get the word out on their music, and because of this massive global exposure particularly for Barbadian and Caribbean performers, we are tremendously excited to be a part of this positive move forward”, Aubrey Padmore, Senior Consultant of Future Quest Services said.
“The venue we are using this year can only accommodate 1,000 patrons, and so, it was necessary for us to ensure that this event can be seen by a much larger audience than those lucky few who can get their hands on a ticket to witness the spectacle first hand”, Ronnie Morris, founder and director of the Barbados Music Awards said.
Those who wish to view the web cast, can subscribe via the website www.yourwatchingtv.com, after December 1st 2008. However, the online screening will not be available for viewing in Barbados, and can only be accessed by foreign subscribers
